FAQ

How do I prepare for my Studio experience session?

Actually you just need to rest well and come with an open mind! You may wanna avoid spicy or milky food before the recording, and bring water. We will guide you along and make sure you have an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Can I book a date and time on a weekday?

Yes, you may submit your request via the booking form or email even if you do not see the availability on our schedule. Currently, the available timeslots shown are the more permanent ones we set aside for 'Singasong Experience' booking, as the other timeslots are reserved for other corporate, professional work.

Is there an expiry date for the package?

Yes, please note that all packages expire within 3months from the date of purchase. Do make your bookings as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

What if I don't have the music I'd like to sing?

 As the main purpose is for you to experience the recording process in a professional recording studio environment, the song choice shouldn't be the obstacle here. If you do not have the song of your choice, we can send you a list of popular songs for selection.

Can I change my schedule? How many times can I do that?

Yes, if you feel unwell or something cropped up, you may contact us to change (subject to 1 time only) not later than 48hrs prior to booked date.

What if I cannot make it for the experience? Is the package transferable?

 Yes, if you cannot make it and was not able to contact us 48hrs prior to rescheduling, you may pass the package to your friend or family to come instead.

How many people can I bring to the studio?

We would advise the singers to come by themselves to better enjoy the experience, however if you are bringing companions, please notify us in advance as we have quite a small waiting area. 

How many people can record at the same time?

You are welcome to have a group of maximum 4 singers. 

How long does it take to receive the CD ?

It usually takes 7-9days by mail. If you have a special request, please notify us in advance.

Can I self-collect the CD?

No, we would think you would want to be treated fairly during the studio experience and not to be disturbed by others who come knocking on the door to collect their CD. 

Can I record my own composition?

Yes, you may have that option, subjected to the readiness or availability of your backing music. Do indicate that preference and we will get back to you for discussion.

Can I customize my project? I wish to record a full album.

1. GLOSSARY

“Booking” means a booking for a studio recording experience at Playground Studio

“Product” means gift vouchers or any other product sold by Playground Studio

“Contract” means the agreement between us and you to fulfil a Booking or purchase a Product.

 “Writing” means letter, fax or email.

 

2. ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKING

All Bookings and Services are subject to acceptance by us. We will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail that confirms that the Booking has been successful. The Contract between us will only be formed when we send you this confirmation. All Bookings and Services are subject to availability and Playground Studio reserves the right to decline any Booking or purchase of a Product at its discretion.

 

3. CHANGE OF BOOKING POLICY

If you wish to change a booking, we require at least 48 hours notice. Otherwise, a 100% charge will apply. There will be no refund if you should miss your booking.

 

4. IF WE CHANGE YOUR BOOKING

In the unlikely event that it becomes necessary to change your Booking, in total or in part, Playground Studio will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible of any necessary changes. You will have the choice of: accepting the changed arrangements; or making another Booking (and paying or receiving a refund in respect of any differences); or cancelling your Booking and receiving a full refund of all payments made.

 

5. SONG USAGE

The music and songs chosen for use in the studio are solely for the purpose of experiencing the Studio Recording process. You will not be allowed to replicate copies for distribution nor perform this publicly in any condition, unless you have the permission from the authorities or rightful owners.

 

6. BEHAVIOUR

If your behaviour or the behaviour of any member(s) of your Group is deemed to be unacceptable or causes damage, your Booking may be terminated and you may be asked to leave the premises. No whole or part refunds will be made under these circumstances.

 

7. WRITTEN COMMUNICATION

When using our website, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on our website. By using this website, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in Writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

 

8. PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION

We may keep in our databases the following information:

  • name and company information
  • registration date
  • contact information including email address
  • mobile telephone numbers
  • address
  • common client sign in information for easy booking
  • payments and payment dates


We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We use your information only to inform you about our services.


9.CHANGING THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time. You will be subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time that you make a Booking with us, unless any change is required to be made by law or if we notify you of the change to these terms and conditions before we confirm that your Booking or purchase has been successful.
